Abstract

The center of the image shows the device structure of a typical top-gate field-effect transistor based on aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays, which, as discussed by Zhiyong Zhang, Lian-Mao Peng, and co-workers in article number 1900122, is a key component for future high-performance digital applications. The background shows examples of such an application–5-stage carbon nanotube ring oscillator circuits with an oscillation frequency of 5.54 GHz.
