Poly(2‐vinylpyridine) as an Additive for Enhancing N‐Type Organic Thin‐Film Transistor Stability (Adv. Electron. Mater. 2/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Air Stability of Organic Thin-Film Transistors N-type organic semiconductors are prone to air degradation during operation. Blending with poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP) during device fabrication enhances the device stability, stabilizing the n-type performance of poly{[N,N′-bis(2-octyldodecyl)-naphthalene-1,4,5,8-bis(dicarboximide)-2,6-diyl]-alt-5,5′-(2,29-bisthiophene)} (P(NDI2OD-T2)). Even 0.1% P2VP incorporation yields immediate stabilization, while 10% and 50% concentrations exhibit longer-term stability after one week.
