Abstract
Sustainable Printed Backplanes for Next-Generation Displays The cover image illustrates an environmentally harmonious approach to display manufacturing, symbolized by natural motifs of greenery and water. Using reverse offset printing for high-resolution electrode formation and inkjet printing for organic semiconductors, the authors realize fully printed organic transistor backplanes on flexible films at temperatures below 160 °C and under ambient conditions. By laminating an electrophoretic front panel, the team demonstrates the successful driving of e-paper displays, highlighting a sustainable and versatile route toward future low-power, flexible electronics.
