Abstract

In this work the electrical behavior of the Li 1-3x Ta 1-x Mn 4x O 3 solid solution in a wide composition range, is reported. For determination of the mean electric parameters, impedance spectroscopy and equivalent circuits techniques were used. Measurements were carried out from room temperature to 800°C, applying an ac field in the frequency range 5 Hz to 13 MHz. Variation of the conductivity with temperature is discussed in terms of Arrhenius like graphs. The ferroelectricity is analyzed through the dielectric constant behavior with temperature. Mn concentration in Li 1-3x Ta 1-x Mn 4x O 3 solid solutions reported here, are from 5% to 60% mol. A decrease of the Curie temperature was observed with increasing Mn contents. Results suggest that the main carriers, responsible of the electric conduction, are electrons.
