Abstract
• A novel PDA (Cu)/PSBMA coating was prepared onto PU triggered by CuSO 4 /H 2 O 2 . • The presence of PSBMA and Cu 2+ endows PU with both antibacterial and antifouling properties. • The PU/PDA (Cu)/PSBMA exhibits excellent performance in vivo mouse infections model. • >The multifunctional coating shows great application potential in blood-contacting materials.
