Luminescent and magnetic properties of carbon-based FeYO 3 /Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ nanocomposites
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract Bifunctional carbon-based FeYO3/Y2O3:Eu3+ nanocomposites have been fabricated by a facile solid-state method using melamine as carbon source. The structure and morphology of the nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. It is shown that FeYO3 and Y2O3:Eu3+ nanoparticles in the composites are dispersed in carbon matrix. A probable formation mechanism of the composites is proposed. The effects of dosages of Y2O3:Eu3+ and melamine on the luminescent and magnetic properties of composites are discussed.
