Optimization of solid waste dual-liquid grouting material proportioning and application performance study for sealing sudden water inflows in karst formations
Source abstract
Abstract
Sudden water surges in underground engineering projects are characterized by high flow rates and rapid velocities. Traditional grouting materials exhibit drawbacks such as easy dispersion, poor stability, and low retention rates when addressing water outbursts in karst formations. This study utilizes the distinct synergistic effects of waste red brick powder, polyacrylamide, and xanthan gum to modify a cement-water glass dual-liquid slurry. Through a simple process, a solid waste dual-liquid grouting sealing material was prepared, and its optimal formulation using application scope analysis methods and matrix analysis models is determined. Research has revealed that this material exhibits a three-dimensional network structure due to the influence of polyacrylamide and xanthan gum, demonstrating high dispersion resistance, enhanced structural stability, and strong erosion resistance. A series of tests validated its superior comprehensive performance. This research is expected to advance the development of high-performance grouting sealing materials and blaze new trails for new approaches to material preparation.
