Abstract

The electromagnetic stability analysis of electro-dynamic high-speed maglev systems is a key research topic. An electromagnetic stability analysis model of the high-speed superconducting maglev system is introduced. The model could be used to analyze the electromagnetic transient stability performance of the maglev train under the lateral and yaw conditions. First, the integrated electromagnetic topology structure and stability operation principle of the high-speed maglev system are proposed. Second, the electromagnetic stiffness and running stability expressions are obtained, such as levitation stiffness, guidance stiffness, and coupling stiffness. Finally, the three-dimensional electromagnetic stiffness properties and electromagnetic stability characteristics of the maglev system are calculated.
