Combined Photothermal and mTOR‐Targeted Therapy Overcomes Immune Evasion and Enhances Checkpoint Blockade Efficacy in Metastatic Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer (Adv. Sci. 10/2026)
Source abstract
Abstract
Heating Cold Breast Cancers Effectively This cover art reimagines Investiture of the Gods. The Lady Shiji represents mTOR-driven immune evasion in triple-negative breast cancer (Skull Mountain). Nezha, representing a gold nanocomposite, strikes with his Spear (mTOR inhibitor) and Universe Ring (photothermal therapy), while Taiyi Zhenren (anti-PD-1) empowers T cells to attack Skull Mountain (tumor). This illustrates the strategy by Jing Jing, Xiaowei Liu, and co-workers to reverse immunosuppression and treat cold tumors.
