Crossing the Blood–Brain Barrier with Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric Nanocarriers: An Emerging Frontier in Brain Disease Therapy (Adv. Sci. 7/2026)
Source abstract
Abstract
Crossing the Blood-Brain Barrier for Targeted Therapy This figure depicts drug-loaded polymeric nanocarriers (nanoMIPs) moving through the bloodstream, crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB), and releasing their cargo within brain tissue for targeted therapy. These engineered nanocarriers enable precise brain delivery, enhanced BBB permeation, and controlled drug release, positioning nanoMIPs as a next-generation platform for treating neurological disorders, brain tumors, and neurodegenerative diseases.
