Wavelength Tunable Pulsed Lasers Enabled by a Versatile Metafiber Functioning as Both Saturable Absorber and Filter (Adv. Sci. 3/2026)
Source abstract
Abstract
Wavelength Tunable Pulsed Lasers A 3D metafiber that simultaneously functions as a saturable absorber and a spectral filter is inserted into the laser cavity, enabling Q-switched pulse generation and wavelength-tunable operation. This structure avoids the structural complexity of traditional hybrid systems while ensuring stable laser operation, offering a promising route for high-performance wavelength-tunable pulsed lasers.
