Sleep Deprivation Aggravates Periodontitis Through Trigeminal‐Periodontal Neuroimmune Pathway Mediated by the AChE‐ACh‐α7nAChR Axis (Adv. Sci. 43/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Sleep Deprivation Sleep disorders are rendered as oppressive dark clouds shrouding a mountain, with the mountain symbolizing periodontal tissues obscured by gloom to convey how sleep deprivation exacerbates periodontitis. Electroacupuncture, depicted as revitalizing lightning striking the mountain via the neuroimmune pathway, illustrates its role in reactivating cellular vitality and restoring periodontal homeostasis.
