Multivariate Screening and Automated Clustering of Macrophage Immunoreactome to Nanoparticles and Photothermal Therapy (Adv. Sci. 31/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Photothermal Therapy The illustration depicts nanothermally driven reprogramming of THP-1-derived macrophages, mapped through principal-component analysis: a pink monocyte, guided by PMA, first differentiates into a green naïve M0 macrophage, then branches toward either a pro-inflammatory M1 (orange) or reparative M2 (blue) phenotype. Dispersed gold-iron-oxide nanoflowers and a red photothermal gradient symbolize localized nanoparticle heating that skews this polarization, thereby validating our machine-learning assay for predictive immunomodulation.
