Label‐Free Dual‐Modal Photoacoustic/Ultrasound Localization Imaging for Studying Acute Kidney Injury (Adv. Sci. 22/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Label-Free Imaging for Studying Acute Kidney Injury In article umber 2414306, Shensheng Zhao, Yun-Sheng Chen, and colleagues introduce a new label-free multiparametric 3D renal imaging technique. This method combines photoacoustic and super-resolution ultrasound imaging to provide high-resolution views of the kidney, capturing vital information including vessel density, renal hemodynamics, and oxygenation. Illustrated through a stained-glass motif analogy, this innovative approach offers "colorful" insights far beyond traditional structural-based kidney assessments, guiding clinicians in precise diagnosis.
