Abstract

Gut Microbiota-Butyrate-PPARγ This study demonstrates that gut microbiota-derived butyrate promotes adipose ST2+ regulatory T cell population through PPARγ activation. The cover illustration depicts gut microbiota (represented by orange-shaped bacterial cells) releasing butyrate (represented as blue particles and blue molecular structures), which transmit electrical-like signals to activate ST2+ regulatory T cells (shown in purple) in adipose tissue (orange cells), highlighting their role in maintaining adipose tissue immune homeostasis.
