ALKBH3‐Mediated M1A Demethylation of METTL3 Endows Pathological Fibrosis:Interplay Between M1A and M6A RNA Methylation (Adv. Sci. 19/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Pathological Skin Fibrosis The artwork symbolises RNA modification crosstalk in skin fibrosis through Medusa and Perseus. Medusa's gaze symbolizing m6A methylation promotes fibrotic progression and transforms healthy skin into a rigid stone-like state. Perseus representing m1A methylation neutralizes this effect by reflecting her gaze and thereby inhibits fibrosis. This visual metaphor underscores m6A's detrimental role and m1A's protective function in fibrosis.
