A Novel Protein NLRP12‐119aa that Prevents Rhabdovirus Replication by Disrupting the RNP Complex Formation (Adv. Sci. 12/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Rhabdovirus This image vividly demonstrates a novel anti-rhabdovirus protein that establishes an effective barrier for the host to isolate virus invasion. In article number 2409953, Tianjun Xu and co-workers reveal a new anti-rhabdovirus mechanism: the novel protein encoded by circRNA can disrupt the precise assembly of the virus RNP complex by intervening in the interaction between the virus's leader RNA and viral proteins, effectively inhibiting rhabdovirus replication and protecting the host from invasion.
