Optical Visualization of Stretchable Serpentine Interconnects using Chiral Liquid Crystal Elastomers (Adv. Sci. 4/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Stretchable Serpentine Structure In article number 2408346, Su Seok Choi and co-workers report the direct visualization of stretchable strain properties in serpentine structures. By leveraging the mechanochromic color-changing properties of chiral liquid crystal elastomers (CLCEs), they reveal complex geometrical strain distributions previously not fully understood throughout the stretching process.
