Vector‐Free Deep Tissue Targeting of DNA/RNA Therapeutics via Single Capacitive Discharge Conductivity‐Clamped Gene Electrotransfer (Adv. Sci. 3/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
DNA/RNA Therapeutics Single pulse electrotransfer of ‘naked’ DNA / mRNA via electric field focusing for deep tissue and vaccine therapeutics. In article 2406545, Jeremy L. Pinyon, Georg von Jonquieres, Gary D. Housley, and co-workers describe vector-free spatio-temporally controlled delivery of mRNA and DNA for transgene expression in mouse skeletal muscle using ‘single capacitive discharge conductivity-clamped gene electrotransfer’ via a disposable needle-type BaDGE ‘electro-lens’. This enabled titratable immunoglobulin responses to delivery of synthetic DNA encoding an Influenza A virus epitope.
