A Non‐Invasive and DNA‐free Approach to Upregulate Mammalian Voltage‐Gated Calcium Channels and Neuronal Calcium Signaling via Terahertz Stimulation (Adv. Sci. 47/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Lighting the Channel This cover illustrates the activation of mammalian voltage-gated calcium channels via terahertz waves, which resonate with the stretch mode of carboxyl groups in the selectivity filter. This DNA-free, noninvasive method offers a promising approach for modulating calcium channels, calcium signaling, and neuronal activity. More details can be found in article number 2405436 by Yaxiong Yang and co-workers.
