Abstract

Gastric Cancer The cover image shows Earth representing a gastric cancer (GC) cell, surrounded by multiple satellites symbolizing mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) in the tumor microenvironment. Numerous meteors, representing the chemotherapy drug oxaliplatin (OXA), are heading toward Earth. However, spacecraft from the satellites (mitochondrial transfer) create a protective shield, altering the path of the meteors and preventing the collision. This artwork vividly captures Yulong He, Andy Peng Xiang, Jiancheng Wang, and co-workers' discovery that mitochondrial transfer from MSCs to GC cells restores mitochondrial function, reduces mitophagy, and leads to OXA resistance. More details can be found in article number 2404994. The cover art was created by Coloring Guangzhou.
