Bmi‐1 Epigenetically Orchestrates Osteogenic and Adipogenic Differentiation of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Delay Bone Aging (Adv. Sci. 46/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Jianliang Jin, Yuli Wang, and co-workers discovered Bmi-1 epigenetically modulates osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs), crucial for senile osteoporosis prevention. The image creatively depicts BMSCs as workers with “Bmi-1” helmets forming bone, with flags signifying osteoblast differentiation. “Prx1” drones deliver “Bmi-1”-labeled helmets, highlighting Bmi-1's role in BMSCs osteogenic differentiation.
