Abstract

Bioluminescent Wood Among the earliest examples of bioluminescent curiosity is glowing wood, which was produced in vitro and was initially mentioned by the Greek philosopher Aristotle. Also called foxfire, it is a cool, energy-efficient alternative light source that doesn't heat up. More details can be found in article number 2403215 by Francis W. M. R. Schwarze and co-workers.
