Cyclo His‐Pro Attenuates Muscle Degeneration in Murine Myopathy Models (Adv. Sci. 28/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Hope for Dystrophic Hearts In article number 2305927, Hoe-Yune Jung, Johan Auwerx, and co-workers introduce cyclo histidineproline (CHP) as a new promising treatment for diverse myopathies, including the rare Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and the increasingly common age-related sarcopenia. The study shows that CHP improves muscle contractility and reduces fibrosis in DMD, while lessening muscle atrophy in aged mice. The cover portrays a collection of heart histological sections – with colors whimsically adjusted.
