VLDL and LDL Subfractions Enhance the Risk Stratification of Individuals Who Underwent Epstein–Barr Virus‐Based Screening for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: A Multicenter Cohort Study (Adv. Sci. 22/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Comprehensive lipoprotein profiling and metabolite analysis reveal significant metabolic reprogramming within nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients. Small, dense VLDL-5 particles and large, buoyant LDL-1 particles hold promise as novel biomarkers for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. NMR-based risk score (NRS) is constructed based on signature metabolites, VLDL-5 and LDL-1 subfractions, which demonstrates excellent capability of personalized risk prediction, and provides a brand-new clinical perspective for early screening of NPC.
