Interplay Between Intracellular Transport Dynamics and Liquid‒Liquid Phase Separation (Adv. Sci. 19/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Intracellular Dynamics In article 2308338, Hui Li, Xiaosong Chen, and co-workers reveal an intriguing interplay between intracellular dynamics and liquid-liquid phase separation inside the nonequilibrium cytoplasm. They find intracellular diffusion and active transport are both reduced after stress granule (SG) formation, and the reduced diffusion promotes SG assembly and the microtubule-associated transport facilitates SG coalescence.
