Loss of Endothelial Annexin A1 Aggravates Inflammation‐Induched Vascular Aging (Adv. Sci. 15/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Vascular Aging In article number 2307040, Huashan Hong and co-workers investigate the impact of ANXA1 deficiency in both human subjects and endothelial-specific ANXA1 knockout mice. There is a negative correlation between ANXA1 levels and vascular aging. Loss of ANXA1 promotes vascular aging by deteriorating vascular structure and function through chronic inflammation, senescence-associated secretory phenotype, and arrest of endothelial cell cycle. These results provide novel perspective for preventing vascular aging.
