Biohybrid Photonic Platform for Subcellular Stimulation and Readout of In Vitro Neurons (Adv. Sci. 12/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Biohybrid Photonic Platform In article number 2304561 by Wolfram H.P. Pernice and co-workers, a photonic platform enabling precise control and observation of neural activity at the nanoscale is introduced. Utilizing low-loss photonic waveguides fabricated on glass via nanoimprint lithography, the platform allows for targeted neural stimulation and monitoring with subcellular resolution. This cost-efficient method offers tailored investigation of neural interactions with high spatial control and throughput.
