Abstract

Biomimicking Article number 2305600 reports that cyanine aggregates in lipid bilayer can mimic filamentous-actin and thereby favors their fusion with cell membranes. Xianghan Zhang, Zhongliang Wang, and co-workers demonstrate through molecular dynamics and experiment that filamentous-actin-mimicking liposomes can accelerate and increase cytosolic protein uptake bypassing endosomal entrapment. These findings have direct applications for cytosolic protein delivery and tumor treatment.
