Erythrocyte‐Leveraged Oncolytic Virotherapy (ELeOVt): Oncolytic Virus Assembly on Erythrocyte Surface to Combat Pulmonary Metastasis and Alleviate Side Effects (Adv. Sci. 5/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Erythrocyte-Leveraged Oncolytic Virotherapy In article number 2303907, Funan Liu, Zhiqing Pang, Zhenning Wang, and their colleagues, present a straightforward and effective strategy known as erythrocyte-leveraged oncolytic virotherapy (ELeOVt). This innovative approach successfully achieves near-perfect assembly of oncolytic virus on the surface of erythrocytes and enables targeted delivery to the lungs for exceptional treatment outcomes in pulmonary metastases. Furthermore, this method significantly enhances the biocompatibility of oncolytic virus as a therapeutic agent.
