Abstract

Stem Cell-Based Embryo Models Article number 2304987 by Vinidhra Shankar, Clemens van Blitterswijk, Erik Vrij, and Stefan Giselbrecht shows a continuous culture and in situ imaging of 3D stem cell-derived embryo-like structures in microwell arrays. The automated screening and analysis of key morphological features via a supervised machine learning pipeline creates a unique opportunity to quantitatively and systematically study effects of pathway modulators on early embryonic development.
