Polymer Nanocontainers: Controlled Cellular Delivery of Amphiphilic Cargo by Redox‐Responsive Nanocontainers (Adv. Sci. 24/2019)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1901935, Volker Gerke, Bart Jan Ravoo, and co-workers design novel polymer nanocontainers, based on redox-responsive cyclodextrin amphiphiles mixed with phospholipids and encapsulated in a cystamine-crosslinked polymer shell, to deliver amphiphilic cargo, specifically labeled phospholipids, into human cells. Due to the redox-sensitive cyclodextrin core and polymer shell, cargo is released inside the cell's reductive endosomal compartment.
