Abstract

Controllable deuteration of organic molecules to produce value-added deuterium-labelled chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds attracts growing interest in organic synthesis, tracer investigation and the pharmaceutical industry. In article number 1801403, Chenliang Su and co-workers present a strategy based on water-splitting-technology for visible-light photocatalytic selective deuteration of alkenes and alkynes over a highly crystalline and catalytically active K-intercalated polymeric carbon nitride.
