High‐Efficiency and Stable Long‐Persistent Luminescence from Undoped Cesium Cadmium Chlorine Crystals Induced by Intrinsic Point Defects (Adv. Sci. 15/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
Application of Long-Persistent Luminescence Materials In article number 2207331 by Zhifeng Shi and co-workers, a novel metal-halide single crystal inorganic cesium cadmium chlorine (CsCdCl3) is reported, which displays a long-persistent luminescence with a long duration of 6000 s. The diagram above vividly depicts that the inherent defects of CsCdCl3 crystals act as energy traps to trap and store electrons, resulting in the long-persistent luminescence.
