Concomitant Thermochromic and Phase‐Change Effect in a Switchable Spin Crossover Material for Efficient Passive Control of Day and Night Temperature Fluctuations (Adv. Sci. 24/2022)
Source abstract
Abstract
Spin Crossover In article number 2202253, Ana Espinosa, Jose Sánchez Costa, and co‐workers present a proof‐of‐concept by demonstrating that the spin crossover (SCO) can be induced by the solar radiation heat and that temperature fluctuations, both heating and cooling, are reduced. This behavior is understood by two concomitant effects that accompany the SCO, the phase change in the process and the light reflection variation, derived from the change of color. [Image: see text]
