Cancer Treatment: Enhanced Photodynamic Cancer Treatment by Mitochondria‐Targeting and Brominated Near‐Infrared Fluorophores (Adv. Sci. 3/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
The photodynamic therapy effect and mechanism of mitochondria targeting photodynamic therapeutic agents (MitDt) are reported. The MitDt is taken in by the cancer mitochondria and subsequently releases singlet oxygen () when irradiated with a 662 nm laser, thereby inducing apoptosis of cancer. The underlying mechanism is discussed in article number 1700481 by Yeu-Chun Kim and co-workers.
