Advanced Science· Volume 8· Issue 4

Abstract

The strain‐multiplexing capability of flexible‐template reconfigurable diffractive metalenses (FDMLs) holds assurance for advancing technologies for artificial intelligence sensors and actuators. These miniature metalens sensors could provide access to tunable bandwidth and focusing to accurately map external strain or forces. The large‐scale surface relief metalenses, fabricated by Rajib Ahmed and Haider Butt in article number 2003394, consist of metal‐coated hemispherical cavities in a hexagonal closepacked arrangement to enhance tunable focal length, numerical aperture, and fill factor, FF ~100%.
