Programming a Ferroptosis‐to‐Apoptosis Transition Landscape Revealed Ferroptosis Biomarkers and Repressors for Cancer Therapy (Adv. Sci. 17/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Cancer Therapy The cover highlights characteristic features of ferroptosis, an iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, which impairs the cell membrane integrity, along with apoptotic bodies. In article number 2307263 Sima Lev, Yaron Vinik, Avi Maimon, and their colleagues program a ferroptosis-to-apoptosis transition landscape and identify a reliable transcriptomic classifier, ferroptosis selective biomarkers, ferroptosis repressors as potential therapeutic targets for basal-like breast cancer, and highlight ferroptosis-to-apoptosis molecular switches.
