Sensitized Photocathodes: Recent Advances in Sensitized Photocathodes: From Molecular Dyes to Semiconducting Quantum Dots (Adv. Sci. 4/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting is regarded as one of the most promising methods for solar-to-hydrogen conversion. In article number 1700684, Xu-Bing Li, Li-Zhu Wu, and co-workers review recent progress in development of sensitized photocathodes and report on their current state. They also describe the superior efficiency and durability of quantum dot (QD)-sensitized photocathodes for water splitting.
