Digital Metasurfaces: Light‐Controllable Digital Coding Metasurfaces (Adv. Sci. 11/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
A remote-mode metasurface addressed and tuned by illuminating light is proposed and realized by Wei Xiang Jiang, Cheng-Wei Qiu, Tie Jun Cui, and co-workers in article number 1801028. By tuning the intensity of the illuminating light, a digital coding metasurface enables dynamically reconfigurable radiation beams in a remote non-contact way. The experimental demonstration is validated at microwave frequencies.
