Therapeutic Black Phosphorus Nanosheets Elicit Neutrophil Response for Enhanced Tumor Suppression (Adv. Sci. 14/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Cancer Therapy In article number 2414779, Fazhi Yu and co-workers explore black phosphorus (BP) nanosheets in breast cancer models, showing the ability to inhibit tumor growth. BP-PEG enhances immune responses by promoting neutrophil recruitment and reprogramming tumor-associated neutrophils to an anti-tumor phenotype, boosting both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune activities. Combining BP therapy with immunotherapies or chemotherapies potentially counteracts neutrophil-induced immunosuppression, restoring or enhancing their therapeutic efficacy.
