Stimulus‐Responsive Hydrogels as Drug Delivery Systems for Inflammation Targeted Therapy (Adv. Sci. 1/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Drug Delivery Systems ln article number 2306152, Luoyuan Li, Jing Zhou, Limin Fu, and co-workers review recent advancements in stimulus-responsive hydrogels for inflammation targeted treatment and comprehensively summarize various prevalent hydrogel materials. The cover image, inspired by Chinese mythology, “Sun Wukong Makes Three Attempts to Borrow the Plantain Fan”, aims to vividly illustrate the application of stimuli-responsive hydrogels in inflammation therapy. The Mountain of Flames symbolizes inflammation while the blue nimbus and droplets represent various stimuli-responsive hydrogels. With the assistance of stimuli-responsive hydrogels, the awful inflammations could be cured effectively just like “Sun Wukong put out the mountain flames”.
