Programmable and Reversible Integrin‐Mediated Cell Adhesion Reveals Hysteresis in Actin Kinetics that Alters Subsequent Mechanotransduction (Adv. Sci. 35/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
Mechanotransduction Article number 2302421 reports that cyclical adhesion can alter stem cell perception of extracellular microenvironment stiffness and thereby controls their mechanosensing and fate commitment. Min Lin and co-workers demonstrate through integrated modeling and experiment that cyclical adhesion can accelerate cytoskeletal kinetics and amplify nuclear mechanosensing. These findings have direct application for stem cell therapies and have broad implications for study of development.
