The TET3/GATA6 Axis Drives Lipid Metabolism and Therapeutic Vulnerabilities in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (Adv. Sci. 37/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma In article number 2501774, Ruiyu Xie and co-workers demonstrate that TET3 plays a non-canonical role in regulating lipid metabolism in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) by recruiting histone deacetylases (HDACs) to repress GATA6. This repression sustains the expression of lipogenic enzymes (SCD, FASN, ACSL3) and promotes resistance to ferroptosis. Targeting the TET3/GATA6 axis represents a promising therapeutic strategy to overcome metabolic vulnerabilities in advanced pancreatic cancer.
