Monitoring the Dynamics of Alzheimer's Disease Biomarkers and the APOE–Tau Axis via Human Cerebral Organoids with Immuno‐SERS (Adv. Sci. 35/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
SERS Unlocks Tau Secretion Profiles in Brain Organoids Label-free and non-invasive monitoring of the Alzheimer's disease biomarker from human cerebral organoids has not yet been accomplished. In article number 2505660, Inki Kim, Luke P. Lee, Jong-Chan Park, and co-workers report a SERS-based immnoassay that enables label-free monitoring of tau protein secreted from human cerebral organoids according to developmental stage, age, and APOE genotype. This research provides the potential for robust clinical assessments of disease progression and direct insights into the APOE-tau axis in Alzheimer's disease.
