Statistical Genomics Analysis of Simple Sequence Repeats from the Paphiopedilum Malipoense Transcriptome Reveals Control Knob Motifs Modulating Gene Expression (Adv. Sci. 24/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Simple Sequence Repeats In article number 2304848, Ting Wang, Zhong-Jian Liu, Yingjuan Su, and co-workers find a high-density transcriptome simple sequence repeat landscape in the full-length transcriptome of Paphiopedilum malipoense. Statistical genomics analyses demonstrate the correlations between simple sequence repeat distributions, characteristics, and expression level. This work also identifies nine expression-modulating motifs and proposes a model to explain the effect of their key features, potency, and gene function on intra-transcribed region scale.
