Single‐Material, Near‐Infrared Selective Absorber Based on Refractive Index‐Tunable Tamm Plasmon Structure (Advanced Optical Materials 6/2022)
Source abstract
Abstract
A compact single-material Tamm plasmon (TP) structure in the near-infrared was theoretically designed and experimentally verified by Young Min Song and co-workers, as shown in article number 2102388. The TP is composed of a single material, where the refractive indices are tailored through porosity tuning to achieve impedance matching. The fabricated TP shows high absorptance (≈99%) and Q-factors (≈45) in the Tamm state. Photodetectors with single-material TPs and metal–semiconductor–metal structures afford excellent detectivity in the near-infrared.
