Recent Progress on Stretchable Organic Room‐Temperature Phosphorescent Materials
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract Polymer‐based room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials are vigorously investigated as appealing contenders for optoelectronic and bioelectronics applications, owing to their distinctive long‐lived excited‐state characteristics and inherent advantages such as low cost, remarkable functionality, and favorable biocompatibility. The progress of stretchable RTP materials has emerged as a novel and prominent subject in the field, as they not only possess the unique long‐lived excited‐state features of organic RTP materials but also incorporate excellent stretchability. In this review, attention is centered on the recent advancements in stretchable organic RTP materials, encompassing their fundamental mechanisms, design tenets, and associated applications. Eventually, the significant challenges encountered during the development of stretchable RTP materials are concisely summarized. There is confidence that this review will function as a valuable reference for comprehending the luminescence mechanism of stretchable RTP materials and formulating strategies to achieve high‐performance RTP, thereby facilitating further research and innovation in this area.
