Interfacial Effect: Strategy for Enhancing Interfacial Effect of Bifunctional Electrocatalyst: Infiltration of Cobalt Nanooxide on Perovskite (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 12/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
Inspired by the synergistic effect of hybrid catalyst, the bifunctional catalyst [email protected]3O4 is designed using Nd0.5Sr0.5CoO3 (NSC) perovskite and Co3O4 spinel and is synthesized via the simple technique (i.e. infiltration). At the interface of NSC and Co3O4, the electronic and structural reconstructions enhanced the catalytic activity for oxygen reduction/evolution reactions (ORR/OER). The designed cover image depicts the morphology (nanosized Co3O4 distributed on NSC) and the interfacial effect of the catalyst. More details can be found in the article number 1800123 by Seona Kim, Ka-Hyun Kim, Jeeyoung Shin, Guntae Kim, and co-workers.
