Semiconductors: A Unique Semiconductor–Metal–Graphene Stack Design to Harness Charge Flow for Photocatalysis (Adv. Mater. 32/2014)
Source abstract
Abstract
A novel semiconductor-metal-graphene stack structure, designed and fabricated by Y. Xiong, Q. Zhang, J. Jiang, and co-workers reduces interfacial defect density as well as provides channels for charge transport. The designed hybrid structure well harnesses the charge flow for efficient electron-hole separation and exhibits a significantly improved performance in photocatalytic hydrogen production from water, as described on page 5689.
